During our recent visit to Daereta, we found a bustling school community. Student enrollment has increased nearly 40%, with 700 students attending today. The improved teacher residences are encouraging more teachers to relocate to this remote area. The school has become so popular that five educators from the district applied to the principal position!

Like all of our projects, we would not be able to see such positive transformation without the support of the people. Community members came together to build retaining walls to protect the school from flooding, and to hire a librarian to keep the library open on weekends for students and teachers.
