The drought in Ethiopia is now at a critical point. Despite an early response by the Ethiopian government, the international commitments for emergency food have not been fulfilled and the global response has been too slow. Today, 400,000 children are severely malnourished and 10 million people are in urgent need of food.

In November, Glimmer committed $250,000 for emergency food to provide relief for the severe drought in Ethiopia. However, it is not enough. Glimmer is seeking to double our efforts to provide food through the peak of the drought. 100% of all relief donations will go directly to providing food, right now, through a partner-run program at local schools.
