Playing for Glimmer at ATA
The ATA community of players, coaches and parents are proud to continue the tradition of giving back to the rural poor in Ethiopia that was started by ATA’s first Global Change Makers, Josh Hagar and Breck Spencer. This campaign is a continuation of the past efforts of ATA students, coaches and parents that have raised almost $450,000 for education, health and water projects in rural Ethiopia, as part of a $1 million pledge that Coach Newman made to Glimmer 12 years ago. The campaign we are launching this summer is for an elementary school classroom building and three borehole wells that require a drilling rig to access the water that is 40-50 meters beneath the ground. These projects will be constructed in a cluster of villages nestled along the shores of Lake Tana and near the historical city of Gondar in northern Ethiopia.
When you make your donation, be sure to include the name of the student you're supporting in the comment section.
