Playing for Glimmer 2013
I'm working with Glimmer to help bring clean water and sanitation to the people of Gonok, Ethiopia.
This year's Playing for Glimmer campaign has the goal to raise $125,000 to construct a reservoir and multiple water points in the rural Genok village of Tigray, Ethiopia, home to the most rural terrain in the whole country. This reservoir will serve hundreds of people via its nine water points. The impact of this project is immense. It is the same village where ATA student Breck Spencer did his Water Walk - a multiple hour walk through rocky hills. By completing this project, the people of Genok will not have to walk five hours each day to find dirty water, but will have access to clean drinking water.
