We are excited to announce that the maternity ward is now open and benefitting women and newborn children in Tercha!

In the first month, 51 babies were delivered in the new ward. The dedicated space means that healthy, pregnant women and newborn babies will no longer be in close proximity to sick patients where they risk catching deadly airborne illnesses like pneumonia and tuberculosis. In response to all the mothers coming to the hospital, we’re now working with our local partners to expand the space in the maternity ward. Glimmer is grateful to all of our supporters that helped make this project possible!
