The hospital in Tercha serves approximately half a million people from the surrounding areas. When the Glimmer team visited the hospital, we found that all patients are housed in one large room. This means that malnourished children with weakened immunity must share a room with seriously ill patients, including those with highly contagious diseases. There is great need for a separate space and care for children in the Tercha Hospital. With the new maternity ward recently completed, we’ll be starting a pediatric ward this fall at Tercha Hospital.
